Mammograms are the gold standard for breast cancer detection and diagnosis yet they’re accuracy leaves a bit to be desired in normal breasted women. 40 percent of women have “Dense” breasts. Mammography effectiveness in dense-breasted women falls off sharply. Supplemental forms of detection like “Automated Whole Breast Ultrasound” significantly improve early detection.
